BP Energol RC-R 68

BP ENERGOL RC-R 68, Rotary Air Compressor Oil.

High Performance Reciprocating, Rotary and Screw Air-Compressor oils

Description
Energol RC-R compressor oils are formulated from highly refined mineral base oils and incorporate additives that minimize oxidation, deposit-formation, enhance loading-carrying, and anti-wear properties, combat the effects of water-contamination and prevent corrosion. The formulation gives a balanced combination of anti-foam, air-release and filter blocking properties.
Energol RC-R compressor oils are used sucessfully throughout the world in stationary and
mobile equipment.

Main Benefits
Exceed the requirements of ISO-L-DAG/DAH and DIN 51352
• High resistance to oxidation, hence low deposit-forming tendencies.
• Zinc-free formulation, to minimize oil-filter blockage in the presence of water.
• Excellent anti-wear performance in arduous conditions of heat and moisture, giving long service life for compressors.
• Rapid separation of oil/air in the air-coalescer, long air-filter life and low oil-carryover.
• Powerful water-separation and anti-corrosion characteristics, to counter adverse effects of moisture contamination.

Applications and Approvals
Energol RC-R grades are ashless oils recommended for the lubrication of rotors, bearings
and gears in rotary compressors, especially the oil-flooded screw type with delivery temperatures up to 120°C.
Energol RC-R compressor oils are also be used in reciprocating equipment where the air
discharge temperature is below 120 °C.
The performance of the Energol RC-R oils exceeds the requirements of the draft ISO specification for oil-flooded rotary air-compressors, categories ISO-L-DAG and DAH.
These oils are approved by Atlas Copco, Compair Industrial and Consolidated Pneumatic (CPT).

Storage
Proper standards of storage and handling are necessary with all lubricants. Packages should be treated with care at all stages, to prevent contamination of their contents and damage to containers. Where outdoor storage of packages is unavoidable, they should preferably be covered. Storage temperatures should not fall below 5°C above the grade's Pour Point, nor exceed 50°C. Any water that is allowed to accumulate on top of a drum can cover the bung and eventually cause the drum markings to obliterate and become illegible. Drums should therefore stand tilted or rest horizontally.

Health, Safety and Environment
Health, safety and environmental information is provided for these products in the Material Safety Data Sheet. This gives details of potential hazards, precautions and First Aid measures, together with environmental effects and disposal of used products.

The British Petroleum Company p.l.c. or its subsidiaries will not accept liability if the products are used other than in the manner or with the precautions or for the purpose/s specified. Before the products are used other than as directed, advice should be obtained from local BP office.

Castrol Hyspin AWS

DESCRIPTION
Castrol Hyspin AWS is a range of high quality mineral oils. Their natural properties are enhanced by the incorporation of anti-wear, anti-oxidation, anti-foam and anti-corrosion additives. The Castrol Hyspin AWS range is graded according to the (ISO) viscosity classifications.

APPLICATIONS
The Castrol Hyspin AWS range is recommended for the lubrication of:
x Hydraulic systems
x Machine tools
x Centrifugal pumps
x Injection moulding machines
x Gear units
x Centralised bearing lubrication systems, as well as many more applications requiring an oil with good anti-wear and anti-oxidant properties.

BENEFITS
The Castrol Hyspin AWS range offers the following benefits:
x Stock Rationalisation
Due to wide range of applications, stock holding of different types of oil can be reduced.
x Extended Service Life
Due to its thermal and oxidation stability, the Castrol Hyspin AWS grades provide extended oil life under the most arduous operating conditions.
x Full Range of Viscosities
Ensures that the ideal viscosity grade can be selected to optimise machine performance and the pump manufacturer's recommendations are met.
x Comprehensive Additive Package
Ensures maximum protection from wear, corrosion, foaming and oxidation, resulting in reduced down-time and higher productivity.

Compatibility of Castrol Hyspin AWS with hydraulic components:
x Seals
Suitable for use with nitrile, Buna-N, viton, EP and Silicone rubbers.
x Paint
Suitable for use with good quality epoxy resin-based paints.
x Metals
No effect apart from silver-plated components used in some hydraulic pumps. In such cases use only Castrol Hyspin VG grades.
The Castrol Hyspin AWS range meets and/or exceeds the performance levels of the followings:
DIN 51524 - 12 STAGES FZG GEAR TEST
  VICKERS VANE PUMP TEST

Castrol Magna

DESCRIPTION
Castrol Magna GC 32, BD 68 and CF 220 are specially formulated slideway lubricants for machine tools, designed to work in conjunction with the new generation biostable cutting fluids.

APPLICATIONS
Castrol Magna GC 32, BD 68 and CF 220 are recommended for use in all types of machine tool slideways. The only difference between them is viscosity. Kindly refer to the Machine Manufacturer’s Manual for the correct viscosity grade.

BENEFITS
§ Specially selected additives to minimise ‘stick-slip’ motion
Ensures increased accuracy and optimum machine tool performance, resulting in better productivity.

§ Formulated to be compatible with biostable soluble cutting fluids in the event of contamination with the soluble cutting fluid
Maximises the life of the soluble cutting fluid saving money on product, labour and downtime. Eliminates problems associated with ‘Tramp Oil’  saving on labour, downtime and product.

§ Superior anti-wear and load-carrying characteristics (Exceeds FZG Gear Test - Load Stage 12)
Extends the life of sliding components saving money on expensive replacement parts, downtime and labour.

§ Exceptional anti-corrosion additives to combat the ‘washing-off’ tendency of the new detergent biostable cutting fluids (Passes both Rust Tests IP 135A and IP 135B)
The Castrol new generation slideway lubricants resist the ‘washing-off’ tendency which ensures protection to slideway components saving money on expensive replacement parts, downtime and labour.

§ Formulated to reduce odours at higher operating temperatures
Improves operator comfort and environment leading to increased productivity.

§ Approvals by EMCO-Austria, Traub, Maho and Oerlikon-Germany, as well as Brown Boveri-Switzerland.
Internationally accepted and recommended by major machine manufacturers. Gives local users the peace of mind that these products will perform to their benefits.
